Cosgriff-Hernandez Laboratory
@ Texas A&M University

The primary research focus of our lab is the development of biomaterial scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.
The truly exciting aspect of tissue engineering is that it harnesses the body's ability to heal itself. The tissues in our bodies have undergone countless evolutionary advances to achieve the level of function that we have today. The paradigm shift to working with the body provides numerous opportunities to learn from nature and improve upon current therapeutic strategies.
